Abuse between people is a complex problem, with deep roots in culture, history and social structures. Combating it requires the active participation of all people and the implementation of public, educational and social policies that promote equality, empathy and respect. Only through collaboration and commitment is it possible to build communities in which care and dignity are fundamental values and where each person can fully develop, free from violence and abuse.
The aim of this book is to review the different forms of abuse between people, regardless of the age, gender and social and economic status of the victim. The risk factors in the different forms of abuse and interventions to eradicate this pest are described from a scientific point of view, ruling out any political or ideological approach. Likewise, the famous cases of abuse in their different categories have been collected and taken to cinema and literature. Some repetitions will be appreciated, because of the combination of different forms of abuse in the same character.
